Kinich Guide
Elemental Skill and Nightsoul Mechanics
Kinich's Elemental Skill allows him to use his grapple to lock onto a nearby enemy, or a nearby object. If neither is nearby, he can instead grapple into the air instead. If the Elemental Skill is held, Kinich is able to aim his grapple before launching it.
If no enemy is hit by his grapple, it will refund 60% of its Cooldown.
If Kinich attaches onto an enemy, he will enter the Nightsoul's Blessing state for up to 10 seconds. During this state, Kinich will replace his Normal Attack with Loop Shots which deal Dendro damage to the target he is currently grappled onto and moves him around the target.
- If the grapple ever breaks, using a Normal Attack will cause Kinich to attach to the closest enemy.
Loop Shots deal Elemental Skill damage, but will trigger effects that care about Normal Attack usage like Xingqiu and Yelan bursts.
A Nightsoul Point gauge will appear next to Kinich during this state, which caps out at 20 points. When this hits 20, Kinich can reactivate his Elemental Skill to fire a shot using his Scalespiker Cannon, dealing massive Dendro damage.
- This damage can be increased further by triggering Nightsoul Bursts!
Kinich obtains Nightsoul Points under the following conditions:
- Automatically generates 2 points per second.
- Firing a Loop Shot generates 3 points.
- Entering the highlighted Blind Spot on the ground near an enemy generates 4 points.
- Generates 7 points when enemies hit by his Elemental Skill and marked by Desolation take Burning or Burgeon damage (up to once every 0.8 seconds)
